About The Role
G4S Security Services Cameroon PLC, a global leader in Security services, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee and manage their accounting and financial reporting functions. This is a key leadership position reporting directly to the Finance Director, with responsibility for maintaining financial systems, ensuring compliance with the legislation, the Group Finance Controls (GFC) , and leading an accounting team of about 16 full-time employees.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the accounting and financial reporting functions.
Ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Maintain and develop internal control procedures to protect company assets.
Prepare and review budgets, financial projections, and monthly financial statements.
Coordinate the preparation and filing of the state, and international tax returns with third-party firms.
Ensure compliance with any new accounting standards and emerging guidance.
Coordinate external financial statement audits and prepare requested documents.
Compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Manage the maintenance of fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Resolve accounting and financial management issues in collaboration with team members.
Supervise, train, and evaluate the direct reports.
Review general ledger reconciliations prepared by staff accountants.
Monitor and report job status activity and job profitability.
Maintain relationships with bankers, external accountants, and insurance agents.
Oversee payroll processing and benefit administration with a third-party service provider.
Assist with special projects and assignments related to financial decisions.
Serve as an informational resource for state Audits, and internal and external auditors.
Ensure compliance with local, state regulations.
Provide financial management support for projects as requested by Senior Management.
Offer financial advice and proactively prepare for future requirements.
