Reporting to the Control Room Supervisor, the purpose of this position will be but not limited to ensuring monitoring alarms and that all alarm activations are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner and Armed Response Officers are dispatched to attend active alarms.
Principle Accountabilities
Ensure effective monitoring of alarm systems and reporting of activations
Monitor alarm systems and dispatch response officers.
Report activations to management
Liaise with customers with regards to activation.
Effective customer service and relations
Efficient response to all customer queries and complaints in a professional manner
Escalation of queries and requests to management as needed.
Efficient administration of control room records and reports
Maintain and update all records of activations, response and feedback to customers
Maintenance of service requests and job requests records.
Required Qualification and Experience
Candidates with grade 12 school certificates will be preferred
Previous Control Room or relevant experience will be an advantage
Must have a valid Police Code of Conduct no endorsements obtained during the last 6 months
Required Knowledge
Knowledge of Computer
Knowledge of processes.
Knowledge of alarm systems.
Required skills
MS Office Computer skills (Excel Advanced), Negotiations, Persuasiveness / Sales Ability, Numeric and Analytic, prioritization skills,Customer services relationships, Acting professionally, Sound communication skills (written and verbal), Language proficiency in both English and Afrikaans with a third language been an advantage
Personal Attributes
Attention to details, Ability to work under pressure, Good Communication skills, Service orientated,Customer focus, At least bilingual (Afrikaans and English with third language being an added advantage), Physically fit and healthy a prerequisite, Be willing to work shifts and during weekends.
