Job Introduction:

The main purpose of this position will be but not only limited to being  in charge of security contracts and or several other contracts.

 

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Servicing of Contract clients
  • Training and Motivation of Guard Force
  • Day to day management of - Manned Security

- Digital Management System

- Loss Control

- Safety

- Systems

  • Management of logistics/equipment
  • Financial control over expenses and debtors
  • Maintain excellent service quality and client relationships
  • Ability to carry out investigations and the submission of written reports
  • Supervision of a group of senior officers
  • Ensure security officers maintain discipline and adhere to  the company disciplinary policy
  • Develop site procedures and instructions
  • Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies

 

Staff Management and Supervision

  • Source, conduct screening and vetting of new employees according to internal recruitment policy and procedures.
  • Conduct ad hoc performance assessments of subordinates.
  • Ensure that manpower is maintained and utilized at optimum levels and those working hours, overtime and leave absences are managed to minimize unnecessary overtime.
  • Ensure acceptable standards of work behavior are maintained by all subordinates according to Company code of conduct, Values and Disciplinary Code.
  • Conduct and ensure that all disciplinary actions are conducted in compliance with Company disciplinary policies and procedures.
  •  Ensure that all grievances are attended to and resolved within reasonable time and in compliance with Company grievance policies and procedures.
  • Manage security officers in terms of absences, posting, site induction etc.
  • Conduct security officers training, onsite induction and client specific training.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

 

  • Grade 12 and or a relevant tertiary security related qualification being an added advantage.
  • 5 years security management experience 
  • 3 years Supervisory experience
  • Driver’s License – Code B 
  • Own transport
  • Safety and Security qualifications will be an advantage
  • Experience in investigations
  • No criminal record – valid Certificate of Conduct (not older than 6 months)

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Customer service relationships, Acting professionally, Sound communication skills, Delivering objectives, Language proficiency in both English and Afrikaans with a third language being an advantage. Knowledge of administrative procedures. MS Office and Google (Computer skills).
