Job Title: CCTV Operator

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring, recording, and reviewing surveillance camera footage to ensure the safety and security of people, premises, and assets at the client location. The operator works from a centralized control room, supporting incident response, access control, and reporting activities in real time.
1. Surveillance Monitoring:
Continuously monitor live video feeds from CCTV cameras covering various zones of the client premises.
Identify suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, safety violations, or emergencies.
Ensure cameras, monitors, and recording equipment are functioning properly at all times.
2. Incident Response:
Immediately notify the site security supervisor or emergency response team in case of:
Intrusion, theft, or trespassing
Fire, medical emergency, or natural disaster
Safety violations or equipment malfunction
Assist in directing ground staff based on camera visuals.
3. Footage Review & Evidence Capture:
Retrieve and review stored video footage on client request or during investigations.
Provide recorded footage for evidence in case of incidents (with proper chain of custody).
Maintain CCTV footage logs with time stamps and access history.
4. Access Control & Alarm Monitoring:
Monitor entry/exit points through video surveillance to assist physical access control.
Coordinate with guards at gates based on visual alerts.
Respond to alarms generated by access control systems (if integrated with CCTV).
5. Record Keeping & Reporting:
Maintain daily logs of all monitored activity, incidents, or abnormalities.
Report technical issues with equipment to the IT/technical support team.
Submit end-of-shift reports to the Security Supervisor or Site In-charge.
6. Equipment Management:
Perform regular system checks to ensure camera angles, clarity, and storage backups are maintained.
Report faults, power outages, or equipment failures immediately.
Ensure camera recordings are not tampered with and data is secure.
Education: Minimum 12th Pass; Diploma in Electronics, IT, or Computer Applications preferred.
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in CCTV operations or control room monitoring.
Freshers with technical aptitude may be considered.
Prior experience in malls, hospitals, BPOs, or critical sites is an advantage.
Age: 21 to 45 years
Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English, Hindi, and regional language as per site.
Strong observation and situational awareness skills.
Ability to work calmly and quickly during emergencies.
Familiarity with DVR/NVR systems, IP cameras, access control systems, and alarm panels.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, video playback software).
Integrity, attention to detail, and professional conduct.
8 to 12-hour shifts; rotational (day/night) depending on site schedule.
Workstation is within the CCTV control room; uniform may be required at certain client sites.
High alertness role requiring focus and limited distractions.
As per Minimum Wages (Skilled Category) for the respective state/UT.
